Watahh - a force to weaken your opponents

arrow

This unarmed combat card is useable only by heroes or champions able to use hero unarmed combat cards.

This card is most comparable to the Well of Many Worlds (77/DR). Both remove 2 cards from the opposing force, and are one time use items (since Watahh! goes to the discard pile after use).

Some decks will find the Well to be a better card, since it can be used by any champion (because it is a magic item), and sends the 2 cards to the Abyss. However, if you have enough heroes in your deck to be able to count on getting around the hero restirction, Watahh! is the better card, since it gives a minor icon bonus, and most importantly, its alternate power.

Instead of discarding two cards from the opposing force, it can deflect a card power back at the opponent before it activates. This can take the sting out of a The Dreaded Ghost (246/4th), as the draining would immediately remove the Ghost's +9 bonus (+9-9), and often be used to prevent instant defeat.

This can not be used to deflect the power of an opposing champion or cards attached to him before battle, as it can only effect a just played card power. However, since this can turn nearly any battle around, and still has an alternative use (you can't deflect and destroy two cards; one or the other), Watahh! will out perform Well of Many Worlds in any deck heavy on champions able to use hero unarmed combat cards.

This card may be Evade (98/DR) or negated as any unarmed combat card can regularly be.
