There are many tales and legends here in the Spellfire universe. Some are glorious, and some are gruesome. Ones are embellished, and others are told quietly, in secret. Many of them contain dark figures, monsters looming in every corner of darkness.
There are many about ghosts, too, and those legends are especially true in the land of Blood Birth. Here, the ghosts and spirits roam through forests, swamps, camps, and cities. They are said to haunt Lapalice Castle too. Even more, legend says that ghosts were the ones that restored the abandoned castle, and they managed to do that just overnight. Some centuries ago, one family built the castle in hopes of showing its prosperity and wealth, only to abandon the place soon enough. Hidden well into the countryside, the castle began to chip away and diminish, and the only creatures that would come near to this shell of a building were ghosts.
Whether you believe that or not, be aware that Lapalice Castle is guarded. Spirits and ghouls haunt each and every one who comes near with bad intentions.
