Story

arrow
This creature features in various myths and legends. No living soul has survived the encounter to tell the real story, but legends tell about a huge mutant with the body of a dragon and the head of a serpent. This creature is called Basilisk, and he is believed to be the king of all serpents. He can kill any living creature with just a glance, so it's best to avoid eye contact if you ever run into him. No weapon can cut through the Basilisk's skin, and no magic can weaken him. It may sound like he might be invulnerable, but the legend has it that a reflection of himself can actually conquer this creature! Basilisk's tusks are considered to be proof of martial prowess. It is said that many brave warriors have died trying to obtain one of those tusks for themselves. It is believed that if Basilisk's venom were extracted into medicine, it could heal any disease. Although the legend tells about some attempts, they were clearly unsuccessful. To this day, nobody knows where to find him, and it might be that Basilisk still wanders around these lands unnoticed.

Terms explained

Dragon - Champions and allies designated as dragons gain bonuses or penalties based on other card's special powers. Many dragons are monster champions, though they can be of any type. Not all dragons are flyers even if the picture seems to indicate otherwise.

Interactive - Card special powers are controlled by the Spellfire app. Scan QR code to see the powers. Interactive cards lose their interactivity when switched sides.

Swimmer - A swimming champion or ally can attack any realm in an opponent's formation that shows a coastline in its picture. This also includes realms with pictures instead of maps that depict coasts. The ability to swim is not automatically conferred to other cards, so a champion attacking a protected coastal realm must have the means to get his allies there if he intends to use allies in the round of battle. A flyer cannot choose to not fly. A swimmer cannot choose to not swim. An earthwalker cannot choose to not earthwalk. In situations where a champion or ally has several types of movement, the champion can choose which type of movement to use. For example, if a champion becomes a flyer and swimmer, they can choose how to move. The statement 'flyers cannot attack' does not restrict the champion from swimming to that realm, and 'only flyers can attack' does not mean that the swimming ability makes the champion unable to attack.
