Alchemy is the science of transmutation. Many Spellfire residents have practiced this particular science over the years. The main thing involved in alchemy was improving knowledge of how one substance could turn into another.
Legend has it that alchemists have been working on recipes that could give a person some extraordinary powers for centuries. It is believed that although they have succeeded, they hid the recipes so nobody else could find and use them. There are different versions of the recipe's whereabouts, but most people say it was hidden in one of the alchemy books that was once stolen.
One of the Ancient Alchemy Books was found hidden in an isolated cave. The book, written in an unknown language, is believed to keep those ancient alchemists' secret records and recipes.
