Story

The story of Area 51: Nuclear Zone began a long time ago when several lands were fighting in an endless war. One land, fearing a potential nuclear attack from another one, embarked on a series of top-secret experiments to gain an edge over their enemies. They searched for ways to create weapons of mass destruction, ones that would not only overpower their enemies but also strike fear into their hearts. And so, they turned their attention to the mysterious and otherworldly creatures that they had discovered in their explorations of the unknown. They believed that the creatures possessed powers and abilities that could be harnessed for their own purposes, so they brought them to the facility to conduct their experiments. But as they delved deeper into their research, the scientists at Area 51: Nuclear Zone soon discovered that they had bitten off more than they could chew. The creatures they had captured were not just powerful, but they were also intelligent, with a level of consciousness that the humans could not comprehend. The creatures became agitated and began to resist their captors, causing chaos and destruction within the facility. Then, a catastrophic failure occurred within the complex, leading to a massive release of nuclear energy that contaminated the surrounding area. The facility became a toxic wasteland, where the creatures and the humans alike were subjected to the dangerous and deadly effects of the radiation. Now, the site stands as a warning to all who dare approach, a place of hazardous radiation and unspeakable horrors. The legacy of Area 51: Nuclear Zone still persists, where the lines between reality and nightmare are forever blurred. Strange and terrifying creatures, mutated by the radiation, roam the wasteland, while the few humans who survived the disaster are barely recognizable, twisted by the radiation into monstrous forms. Despite the danger, there are still those who seek to enter the facility, lured by the promise of untold secrets and unimaginable power. But those who do are quickly reminded of the horrors that lie within as they encounter the creatures that still roam the facility's halls and the deadly radiation that permeates the air.

Coast - This is a designation for realms that have an ocean or sea somewhere in the illustration. Coastal realms can be attacked by swimming champions and allies, regardless of the realm's position in the formation. Some old Spellfire realms have pictures that depict water and are considered to be coastal realms.

Desert - This is a designation for realms that have deserts somewhere in the illustration. Some Spellfire cards are stronger or weaker, and champions get positive or negative bonuses in these areas.
